thecentralhouse was founded in 2003 by Eleanor Forster to provide an art and design consultancy service, specialising in original contemporary arts. The consultancy provides a service based on a thorough understanding and exploration of the context or space in which the works are to be placed, and of the preferences of the client, be they a corporate or private buyer. thecentralhouse represents a wide range of contemporary artists and designers with whom we have worked. We are also constantly researching and approaching new artists to ensure we can provide the best solution for our clients, whether they are acquiring existing work or commissioning new work. We are experienced at working in collaboration with other creative professionals including designers, architects, interior designers and leading contemporary art galleries across London. The Team Eleanor Forster, Director Prior to the foundation of thecentralhouse, Eleanor Forster worked for britart.com as Head of Art Consultancy. Before working at britart, Eleanor returned to college for a degree course at Sir John Cass, London Guildhall, in Silversmithing, Jewellery and Allied Crafts (BA Hons). During this time, she worked as a consultant at the Contemporary Decorative Arts exhibition, Sotheby’s, where she gained contacts with her main influences in this field, Wendy Ramshaw CBE, RDI, Giampaolo Babetto, Jacqueline Ryan and Giovanni Corvaja. Eleanor gained commercial experience working as an account manager for three years at Mediator Marketing, a marketing communications agency, after graduating with a History of Art (B.A. Hons) degree from Leeds University. Elyse Eales, Artist Liaison Having recently completed a BA (Hons) in Spatial Design at Central St Martins, Elyse has been producing her own work as well as working in the Arts and Fashion world as a buyer. Elyse also graduated in Fashion Design from London College of Fashion.
